Joe Mitchell will vote to move forward on February 9
"For a community that can be divided sometimes, this is a way to bring us together as a community."
"For a community that can be divided sometimes, this is a way to bring us together as a community."
"It's important to me because we need to do something good for the kids in our community by providing them with educational opportunities they don't presently have."
The millage works for everybody.
The Rotary Club’s key objective is to work tirelessly to solve some of our community’s toughest challenges. Passing the millage will be a challenge but we’re ready to solve the problem our community has worked to solve for decades.
The new facilities that the millage will provide will bring new families to Jacksonville, will bring Air Force families back to Jacksonville and will give us an opportunity for the growth we haven't had in many years.
The economic impact in the city of Jacksonville is going to be unmeasurable. Being a military town, those airmen and their families deserve the very best that Jacksonville has to offer.
This vote means an expansion of opportunity in the future to better the lives of our students. I believe it sends a notice of change.
As realtors, we all know the quality of a school district directly impacts where people want to live. Since Jacksonville is one of the largest communities in the North Pulaski Board of REALTORS® area, we fully support improvements in the educational opportunities for families.
"I think that's a strong message to send from the community. That we rallied behind our students and teachers to really impact their educational environment."
"I see us going back to what Jacksonville was and should be. A growing community with our own schools."
